This is an important advanced notification relevant to consider for all future upgrades past the R81.XX major version code base for any Check Point Software Technologies Ltd customers using the e1000 network interface drivers.
👉 NOTE : This does not effect any current supported versions R80.40, R81.00, R81.10 or R81.20 which will continue to work without any problems with the e1000 driver.
✅ From R82.00 this driver will no longer be supported due to upstream changes in the Red Hat RHEL 8 build dropping support for this driver
✅ R82.00 has not yet been released publicly, with no official public ETA in the pipeline
✅ There is no immediate action required for any one at this time other than to be aware of this information in advance
