SEP2 Cyber Summit 2026

On 30th April 2026, we welcomed cyber security professionals, industry leaders, and partners from across all sectors to CodeNode in London for our third annual SEP2 Cyber Summit. Hosted by a stellar lineup of industry experts from  Wiz, Google and Check Point, our summit brought peers together to share frontline insights on navigating the rapidly shifting realities of cloud security and the AI frontier.

From the outset, our primary goal has been, and continues to be, providing our customers with the highest quality service. Witnessing this vision become a reality yesterday, alongside our valued customers and world-class partners, was truly an unforgettable experience.

SEP2 Cyber Summit Speakers

We were delighted to be by our keynote speakers:

  • Paul Starr (Co-Founder & CEO, SEP2) opened the day by addressing The Inflection Point of Security Operations, introducing our strategic vision for the Agentic SOC. Paul emphasised our core, people-first philosophy: scaling our defences alongside Wingman AI whilst keeping human expertise firmly in the loop.
  • Julia Weimer (Director of Solutions EngineeringUKI at Wiz) took us on a deep dive into The Cloud and AI Era, outlining how to secure modern cloud stacks holistically, democratise security data for developers, and transition away from flat, paralysing vulnerability lists.
  • Darren Swift (Senior Customer Engineer, Google Cloud Security) explored the horizon of automated, machine-speed defence in SecOps Reimagined. Darren discussed the rise of self-defending operating systems, the reality of adversarial AI automation, and why defenders must strategically impose a “reconnaissance tax” on attackers.
  • Charlotte Wilson (Head of Enterprise Business UKI at Check Point) tackled The AI Trust Gap, breaking down the ethical and technical challenges of unmanaged software agents, the risk of algorithmic bias, and the critical need for cooperative, integrated security ecosystems.

Realities from the Frontline

A major highlight of the afternoon was our customer panel, hosted by Paul Starr. We brought together pioneering IT and security leaders to share their direct operational experiences:

  • Dai Roberts, Head of ICT, Wrexham County Borough Council
  • Alison Nickson, Head of Information Security and Data Protection Officer, Retail Energy Code Company
  • Tim Goldfield, Head of Shared Technology Services, Admiral Money
  • Keith Joy, Head of Digital and Technology Infrastructure, University of the Arts London

The panel engaged in a warm, honest, and incredibly grounded discussion about the shared commitment required to tackle today’s cyber security realities head-on. Rather than getting swept up in industry hype, the panel focused on the vital importance of doing the foundational basics brilliantly.

Keith Joy shared a fascinating look at University of the Arts London’s transition from legacy VLANs to automated, intent-based network segmentation, whilst Alison Nickson offered a pragmatic perspective on maintaining achievable, verified security standards across complicated supply chains where standard frameworks like ISO 27001 may not always be the best fit. The session wrapped up with a look at the evolving boardroom dynamic, noting a proactive shift in executive awareness regarding recovery speeds and dedicated budgets for safe AI implementation.

Our Sponsors

We are incredibly grateful to all of the sponsors who helped make the Cyber Summit possible, especially our Platinum sponsor Wiz, as well as Google and Check Point.

Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to connect with our sponsors, discovering their latest security solutions through live, interactive demos and picking up some exclusive merch along the way.

Final Thoughts

This year’s SEP2 Cyber Summit was more than just a series of technical presentations; it was an open, honest space where peers could come together, collaborate, and walk away with practical, real-world strategies for the year ahead. We are incredibly proud of the entire SEP2 team for their hard work in bringing the event to life, and we are deeply thankful to our community and sponsors for their continued trust.

We look forward to welcoming you all back next year!
