Back in June, SEP2 exhibited InfoSec Europe 2022 at the ExCeL in London. InfoSec brings together the best of the best in Cyber Security, all under one roof. As this was our first in-person event after Covid pandemic, we were all very excited at the prospect of getting to chat face-to-face.
In August of this year, CRN hosted their annual awards ceremony for the CRN Sales & Marketing awards in London. There were hundreds of attendees from across the IT Channel at the event to celebrate the work and effort that goes into sales and marketing. SEP2 were shortlisted for three categories and went on to win two awards – Best Company to Work For (sub £100m) and Best Apprenticeship/Graduate Scheme.
We also had two of our employees shortlisted as finalists for the CRN Women and Diversity in Channel Awards. Mahreen Jamil was shortlisted for Unsung Hero, and Payten Stockton was shortlisted for Marketing Employee of the Year. We are continually looking for ways to celebrate and promote the success of women and diversity in the Cyber Security industry.
Earlier this year, SEP2 partnered with Google Cloud Security to offer our customers their global security telemetry platform, Chronicle, which is used for investigation and threat hunting within an enterprise network.
One of our landmark achievements of 2022 was the launch of our own modular MDR solution, SEP2.security. Based on the Google Chronicle SIEM platform, bolstered by the functionality of the Google Siemplify SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response), SEP2.security allows your security team to get top-tier insight into potential threats, with the SEP2 Security Intelligence Services team at the helm to respond to and assess events.
In November, we exhibited at DTX 2022. Just like InfoSec, our team loved meeting lots of new and interesting people within the IT industry. We often say that we are People Powered, these in-person events are a great way to see our greatest asset as a company – our people.
On Wednesday 25th May, Check Point hosted their annual Partner Awards Gala evening. An amazing evening celebrating the work and achievements of Check Point Partners.
SEP2 received the Special Recognition Award which honours the work that the team put into the special partnership we have with Check Point. Check Points Charlotte Nicholls said, “this organisation is so enthusiastic about working with Check Point, they bring such an energy and it’s been recognised how much they care.” Our Head of Technical Services, John Tammaro, also won the MVP: Technical Star Award.
Over the past year, SEP2 has continued to hire new apprentices across multiple departments. We believe that apprenticeships offer the perfect route into the Cyber Security industry and help to bridge the skills gap in tech. In February, we celebrated National Apprenticeship.
In 2022 we have continued to write blogs covering some of the many different aspects of Cyber Security.
After a successful 2022, we have some exciting things planned for 2023 already. Following InfoSec 2022, we happily reserved a spot for the 2023 exhibition, and we can’t wait to do it all again. Drive to Secure is a special event coming up in March, where we will be where we will be discussing the future of cyber security, helping you to secure your workforce into 2023. Register your interest now!
