Cyber Security Network Technician

Primary Function:

Within the Wingman NetSec Team, the Cyber Security Network Technician will be responsible for supporting leading security solutions and services for our clients working under guidance from experienced technical engineers within the team today.

This is a hybrid position with a minimum of 1 working day in our Leeds office.

The salary banding for this role is between £24,000 – £28,000 dependent upon experience. 

Main Tasks :

• Perform technical investigation utilising a proactive approach to customer network security management in a range of network security solutions 
• Work with the existing team to manage security solutions defending customer infrastructure from exploitation and cyber-attacks 
• Perform a basic level of troubleshooting across a range of vendor products to resolve customer issues 
• Be familiar with key vendor technologies and strategies such as redundancy, availability, packet acceleration, load sharing, VPN, disaster recovery  
• Demonstrate minor version upgrades across a range of key vendors

• Is excited about technology and desire to advance a career in technology 
• Is confident and capable to present, both verbal and written, with common sense and the ability to think on your feet 

Personal Qualities:

• A minimum of 1 years’ experience within a MSSP/Cyber Security organisation 
• Holds a CCSA qualification or is willing to work towards 
• Understanding of networks/networking would be advantageous 
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems advantageous 
• Good written and verbal communication skills
