Tech Tip: Maestro Event Alerting Tip

If you are new to Check Point HyperScale Maestro clusters, then you need to be aware of this very simple, yet powerful command: asg alert.

Here you can configure different alert media types (email, SMS, syslog) to get important system stats immediately into the hands of the right team to investigate :

  • SGM State
  • Chassis State
  • Port State
  • Diagnostics
  • Memory Leak Detection
  • LSP Monitor Port State Change
  • VS Monitor State Change
  • Fans
  • SSM
  • CMM
  • Power Supplies
  • CPU Temperature
  • Concurrent Connections
  • Connection Rate
  • Packet Rate
  • Throughput
  • CPU Load
  • Hard Drive Utilisation
  • Memory Utilisation

Better still, this functionality can happily co-exist and complement any current SNMP monitoring solution, API monitoring solution and/or Check Point Skyline services you already have deployed today (sk178566).

More information can on this command can be found here.
