SEP2 Cyber Summit 2024

On 2 May 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting our inaugural SEP2 Cyber Summit at the exclusive H Club Lounge at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. This was a significant milestone for SEP2, as it was the largest event the company has hosted to date. The event was a resounding success, filled with useful demos, networking opportunities, and fun activities including the Dare Skywalk and a cyber-themed escape room. We were also privileged to have industry experts from Check Point, Google and CrowdStrike in attendance, who shared their valuable insights on the latest threats and trends in the industry.

Deryck Mitchelson from Check Point kicked the day off with a fascinating keynote speech on the impact of AI in the world of cyber. Jamie Collier from Google provided insights into the 2024 Threat Landscape and our esteemed partners Vectra, Qualys, Drata, Google, and Check Point gave informative quickfire demos throughout the day.

We invited Amy Stokes-Waters, CEO of Cyber Escape Room Co, to rally attendees for a chance to win SEP2 gilets in “The Bank Heist,” a game where players use their imagination to aboard a moving train and take on the role of hackers attempting to break into their target’s bank account within 45 minutes. The first team won in record time, proving the exceptional cyber security skills of SEP2’s customers.

After indulging in Tottenham’s renowned food and mingling, attendees were captivated by John Spencer from CrowdStrike as he presented his case study on an elite Cyber Criminal group and the importance of Identity. Activities were next on the agenda, including a tour of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Jake Newbury, Head of Sales at SEP2 and massive Spurs fan, was especially thrilled to have the chance to wander around the stadium. The most courageous attendees were given a chance to put their nerves and vocal cords to the test on the Dare Skywalk, walking 46.8 meters above the pitch. Even SEP2’s CEO Paul Starr braved the adventure to the top and managed a selfie on the way up. Here is what Paul had to say about SEP2 Cyber Summit:

“I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and made the event a huge success. The conversations were enlightening, and I hope you all gained valuable insights from the day. I want to express my appreciation to our partners for their support and engaging talks, which undoubtedly added to the event’s success. The SEP2 team continuously set the bar higher with each event showing true dedication to growth of the organisation.”

Once the activities had concluded, attendees were greeted with an open bar, generously sponsored by our esteemed partner, Netpremacy. Amidst the flowing drinks, our customers, vendors and the SEP2 team exchanged insights and experiences into the night.

SEP2 Cyber Summit not only provided a space for industry leaders to share insights, but also fostered meaningful collaborations and sparked ideas that will shape the future of the industry. We are incredibly proud of the SEP2 team for their tireless efforts in making this event a success, and to our sponsors Check Point, Google, CrowdStrike, Vectra, Qualys, Drata and Netpremacy for their support. We look forward to welcoming you all again next year!
